Teddy Freeman Jones

Teddy Freeman Jones, age 44, of Vernon, AL, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his residence. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 2:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with graveside services and burial to follow in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the funeral service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.

Born on December 23, 1981, in Fayette, Alabama, Teddy was the beloved son of the late Petty Jones and Willene Jones.

Teddy was a devoted father to his four children: Alexis Martin, Christopher Blanton, LaTanya Camp, and Caden Jones. His children were a part of his heart, and he loved them deeply.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Willene Jones; his siblings, Ginger Jones, Mary Jones, and Rico Minor; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts. Preceded in death by his father, Petty Jones and Grandparents; Sara Gardner, Freeman Jones, Emmaline Shelly and Johnny Kidd.

Teddy will be remembered for his loving and protective spirit, his strong personality, and his sense of humor. He had a gift for working with his hands and especially loved working on cars, previously working at Bill Wheeler Body Shop. If it required tools, Teddy could fix it. He also spent some time working in the oil fields in Texas. He enjoyed figuring things out, staying busy, and helping others whenever he could.

Though his passing leaves an unimaginable void, his memory will live on through his children and all who were blessed to know him.
