Michael Lester "Mike" Cook

Michael L. "Mike" Cook, age 68, of Sulligent, AL, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2026 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 3:00pm from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Gilmer Addition of Sulligent City Cemetery. Bro. Stanley Blaylock to officiate. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior the funeral service from 2:00pm until 3:00pm.

Mike was born on September 21, 1957 in Vernon, AL to the late Lester Cook and the late Frances Frye Cook. He was a 1975 graduate of Sulligent High School. Mike was previously employed at Hyster and worked as a car salesman for Maddox Motor Co., Boyett GMC, Boyett Chevrolet, and was a General Manager at Yerby Chevrolet and Mike Freeman Chevrolet, Freeman Polaris in Fayette, AL. Mike was an instrumental part in his community, always serving any way he could and making friends everywhere he went. He enjoyed serving as a member of the North Lamar Rescue Squad and loved working on cars. Mike previously attended Freewill Chapel FWB Church and People's Tabernacle. His charismatic personality and humble heart will forever be cherished and never forgotten by all those who loved and knew him.
