James N. "Bb" Robinson Sr.

James "B B" Robinson Sr. was born August 28, 1949, in DeQuincy, Louisiana to the late Clarence Robison Sr. and Theresa Semien Robinson. He resided in Oberlin, Louisiana most of his life where he was a member of First Baptist Church and graduate of Adams High School. He was a very active community leader. He was also a loving husband, father, and friend. Mr. Robinson departed this life Monday, November 6, 2023, at 8:59 a.m. in Herman Memorial Hospital of Houston, Texas. He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of forty-nine years, Marilyn Guillory Robinson; daughter, Tabitha Robinson; two sons, James Robinson Jr. and George Nicholas Robinson; sister, Bertha Bradley; brother, Leon Robinson; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Clarence Robinson Jr. His visitation will be Saturday, November 18, 2023, from 9AM with his funeral following at 11AM, at First Baptist Church located at 320 Martin Luther King Drive in Oberlin, Louisiana. Burial will be in Botley Cemetery under the direction of James Funeral Home.
