James D. "Jim" Rohde

James D. Rohde, age 77 of White Lake, passed away on Friday, October 3, 2025. Jim was born on February 26, 1948 to the late Darven "Bud" and Susan (Spice) Rohde in Milwaukee. He graduated from Hartford Union High School with the class of 1966. On August 26, 1967, Jim married Brenda Bigelow at the Milwaukee County Courthouse. Jim worked many jobs over the years. He was a talented welder and had his own mobile welding service for a few years. Jim also worked for Heil Company, flying around the country as a field service representative. For a few years, Jim was a welding instructor at MATC and taught math. He worked with FEMA and went to New Orleans to assist during Hurricane Katrina. Jim was an active outdoorsman. He taught hunter safety and worked at the fish hatchery for the DNR. Jim also enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and splitting wood. He was an avid gun collector and enjoyed attending gun shows. Jim and Brenda were active members at St. John Lutheran Church in Newburg for 30 years before the couple moved permanently to White Lake in the mid 1990's. They then began attending Risen Savior Church in Mountain. For many years, Jim served as a volunteer firefighter for Doty and Mountain Fire Department, and EMT for Mountain Ambulance.

James is survived by his wife, Brenda; 2 children, Rick (Jodi) Rohde and Carrie Rohde; grandchildren, Rebecca (Aric) Schlehlein, Samanatha (Justin) Black, Elizabeth (Connor Brown) Rohde, Shayna Bell, Kirsten Rohde, Brent Mackey, Rob Mackey, Bre Mackey, Ava Smith, and Jase Smith; great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Sophia Schlehlein, Nevaeh, Olivia, Aaron, and Julia Black, Layla and Annie Brown, Laila and Oakley Mackey, Aiden and Ashton Bell; uncle, Gordon Rohde; step-mother, Betty Featherston. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert James Rohde, in 1996.
