Tamara L. ‘Tammi’ Rohde, 58, of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at her home under Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.
Tammi was born November 9, 1966, in Shell Lake, WI, daughter of Gary and Jean (Patraw) Nispel. She graduated from Merrill High School with the class of 1986. Tammi married Jason Rohde on August 27, 1991, in Merrill. He survives. Shortly after graduation, Tammi worked as a hairdresser. She then took a position with Reindl in Merrill. Tammi also worked at Helping Hands in Merrill, a place she could fulfill her love for thrifting. Tammi also enjoyed gardening, crafting, drawing and painting, and interior design. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She also loved animals, especially her dogs.
Survivors include her husband, Jason Rohde of Merrill; son, Brock Rohde of Merrill and his daughters Jayce and Saylem; sister, Kelly Nispel of Wausau and her children Malissa Zerbe of Wausau and Trevor (Brooke) Zerbe of DeForest, WI; and additional siblings, Hans (Christina) Nispel of Marysville, WA, and Jennifer (Thomas) Brown of Marysville, WA; in-laws, Scott (Charlotte) Rohde of Louisville, KY, Lisa (Dave) Ruge of Madison, and Don (Nicole) Rohde of Merrill, several nieces and nephews on Jason’s side; many great nieces and great nephews; aunt, Mary Ellen Erickson of Duluth, MN; and uncles, Steve (Jill) Patraw of Merrill, Tim Nispel of Barron, and Kenneth Nispel of Rice Lake.
Tammi was preceded in death by her infant twins, Eric Alan Rohde and Ashley Marie Rohde; parents, Gary and Jean Nispel; in-laws, Don and Donna Rohde; aunts, Carol Patraw and Kimberly Ekdahl; uncles, Mark Patraw, Mike Patraw, Tom Patraw, Bill Patraw, Patrick Nispel, Rick Nispel, and Michael Nispel.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
