Susan L. Erickson, 74, of Merrill, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at Pine Crest Nursing Home, Merrill.
Susan was born June 15, 1951, in Merrill, daughter of Karl and Airabell (Winchell) Beyer. She married Larry Erickson on May 7, 1983, in Merrill. He survives. Susan was a 1970 graduate of Merrill High School. She worked at the former House of Merrill as a builder and also worked as a bartender at the former Mary Robins Roost. Once her children were born, Susan stayed at home with them.
Susan was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary. Susan enjoyed watching movies, playing BINGO, Cribbage, and Yahtzee, and putting puzzles together. She also enjoyed crocheting. Above all, Susan loved her puppies and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Erickson of Hatley; daughters, Heather (Tom) Olivotti of Antigo and Shannon (Andrew Kane) Erickson-Kane of Hatley; grandchildren, Zoey Olivotti, Wyatt Olivotti, Kole Olivotti, William Kane, Brock Erickson, Bryana Kane, and Coraline Kane; sister, Linda Schmidt of Merrill; and many in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Karl and Airabell Beyer; granddaughters, Freya Erickson and Madison Erickson; niece, Connie Isaacson; nephews, Timothy Schmidt, Keith Stenberg, and Todd Kroening; and brothers-in-law, Robert Schmidt, Darwin Erickson, Marty Stenberg, Thomas Marmes, Robert Breunig, Mark Erickson, John Hoeffler, and Bruce Leskey.
The memorial service for Susan will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Taylor-Stine-Waid Funeral & Cremation – 301 Eagle Dr., Merrill. Rev. Greg Laska will officiate. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 A.M., Sunday at the funeral home.
