James Romine Obituary
Born on August 14, 1986, in Atlanta, GA, Baker was the cherished eldest son to Steven Romine and Catherine Gray Daly. A true aficionado of life, he enjoyed his time on the golf course, cheered passionately for the Green Bay Packers and Auburn University, and reveled in the great outdoors while hunting. An avid baseball player all his life, he was a Golden Glove winner while attending Brewton-Parker College and later served as a coach and mentor to others. His love for plants is evident in his garden and his landscaping.
A devoted member of Covenant Church in Greer, Baker poured his heart into his role as a Physician Assistant, where he cared for others with unwavering dedication. His spirit and love will continue to shine through in the hearts of all who knew him.
Baker is survived by his loving wife, Megan Romine; children, Griffyn and Gracelyn; parents, Steve Romine (Lisa) and Catherine Daly (Michael); brothers, Jordan Romine (Taylor) and Tanner Romine; nephew, Ryan Romine; in-laws, Chris and Linda Johnson; sister and brother-in-law, Kelly and Marshall Diven and many beloved family members.
A memorial service to celebrate Baker's life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Covenant Church in Greer. Following the service, family and friends are invited to share memories and stories of joy and laughter during a reception until 2:00 p.m. The family requests that everyone in attendance please wear the attire that celebrates Baker's life or how his life impacted yours. The family would also like to request that you bring with you a favorite photo of Baker with a note describing a special memory of him.

In April of 2023 our son, Aaden, who was 5 at the time, broke his arm pretty badly. We rushed him to the ER and Baker was on call that evening. My husband and I were so impressed and so grateful for him. He was so gentle and caring towards our baby boy. He said he reminded him of his son and that they were about the same age. Aaden grew attached to Baker. He even said, "I'll break my arm again to come see you." Baker, laughed, and said, "Oh no, don't do that." Haha. Aaden once took all of Baker's cards from the lobby that had his picture on it. He said so proudly, "thats my doctor". He said he wanted to be like Baker. He was so excited to reunite with Baker again last October during the Pelham trunk or treat where they got another picture together.
Baker was so kind. When we heard about his passing it hit so hard. He will be greatly missed! We have been praying for his family, friends, and colleagues since we heard of his passing. His love towards our son that night in the hospital and months after, will never be forgotten. We will always be thankful for him and cherish the memories we made with him.

I am honored to have a scar on my knee with your stitching, and also as an employee at Pelham, I will miss you coming into to cafe to grab your chips and Dr Pepper. Rest in paradise Baker. You will so be missed

After a knee replacement, I spent several days as an inpatient in Pelham Medical Center. Baker was so kind and always concerned. He visited at least once daily and saw that I had everything I needed. He loved his family and his work and will be missed. Condolences to his loved ones and coworkers.
