James Ross Obituary

January 15th, 1958, and was the second youngest of seven children born to the late Stanley W. and Dorothy A. Ross (nee Crane).
James spent many years as a member of the Newtown Square volunteer firefighter, and loved photography as a hobby. He spent his career as a beloved neighborhood bread delivery man for Stroehmann, and later an adored Marple Special Education school bus driver.
James is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Mary M. Ross (nee Hewes), his children Walter L. Ross (Tiffany), James D. Ross Jr., Patrick F. Ross, and Michael A. Ross. As well as his
brother-in-law William F. Rigby, and siblings John A. Ross (Mona), Margaret Ross Talbot (David), Alexander C. Ross (Arlana), and Betsey Ross Aguilar (Tomas).
He was predeceased by his brother Stanley W. Ross Jr. and his wife Phyllis (nee Dyke), and sister Dorothy (Starr) A. Rigby.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation on Thursday, March 28th, 2024, at D'Anjolell Memorial Home (2811 West Chester Pike, Broomall, PA, 19008). Visitation is from 9:30 a.m.
until 11:45 a.m. His memorial service will be held at 12 noon in the Main Chapel. Interment will be private.
