James Rossi, 69, of Stockholm, NJ, passed away October 3, 2025 doing what he loved.

Born and raised in New Jersey, Jim was known to all as "Big Jim" a fitting nickname for a man with a big heart, a big personality, and an even bigger love for life. A true sportsman, Jim had a lifelong passion for all things sports. A devoted Detroit Tigers and New York Rangers fan, he could always be found cheering on his team or out on the golf course, where he was happiest.

Jim's passion for sports was evident in every aspect of his life. For many years, he proudly served as a referee and umpire for local softball and baseball leagues in the Jefferson and Oak Ridge areas. He also played and coached hockey. Jim was highly respected on and off the field for his fairness, dedication, and the professional way he always presented himself in full uniform.

Jim's greatest joy was his family, second to golf. Nothing brought him more happiness than spending time with them, or golfing. Whether it was family vacations, dinners out, or discovering a new golf course to play while traveling. He was known for his humor and his remarkable sense of organization that kept everything running smoothly in his world.

Jim is survived by his devoted wife Linn; his sons Christopher, Anthony and his wife Carolyn. He was also survived by his beloved grandchildren Leo, Chase and Brynn.

Visitation will be held Wednesday October 8, 2025 from 4-8PM at Scanlan's: Where Life is Celebrated. Cremation will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, you can make donations to C.H.O.P (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia).
