William Donnelly Obituary

William was born on June 7, 1940, to Thomas and Helen Donnelly in Queens, N.Y. The family soon moved to The Bronx. He was the third youngest and the last surviving of six siblings. William worked throughout his life as a plumber in the plumbing and heating industry.
He had a passion for outdoor motor sports, which included dirt bikes, snowmobiles, ATVs, and WaveRunners. He was also an avid swimmer and could often be spotted swimming the length of Lake Lookover.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Susan; his son, Patrick; his daughters, Karen and Lynn, and Lynn's husband, Robert; his grandchildren, Kevin, Billy, Kiera, James, and Nicole, and Nicole's husband, Matthew; and his great-grandchildren, Ryan and Natalie.
A service will be held at Scanlan's Funeral Home in Pompton Plains, N.J., on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 1 to 4 p.m.
