Thank you Uncle Jimmy for all the laughs! I´m so blessed to have had you in our path of life.

He described himself to me once as "bohemian". He wanted to be wild and free. A rebel.

But the quiet part of him needed to stay close to his family, his blood. He owned several homes that had a (mostly) open door policy for all blood relatives bold enough to cross the thresholds. "Shot and a beer?", he´d ask.

Libations, laughs, insults, grammar lessons, card games and memories all followed that simple invitation.

He gave me advice frequently. His open door policy helped me through many pivotal moments and personal struggles. His tough exterior would soften and he would become open, caring and curious.

As I cope with the loss of the one and only Uncle Jimmy, I choose to appreciate him. The way he always did things his way. The ways he showed me love.

Sending Aloha to his daughter Claudette. Praying you receive comfort, blessings and peace after the loss of your dad.

My Dad could wiggle his ears, so can I. My Dad has a pirate smile and so do I. My Dad had swagger and cool factor. My Dad gave fantastic advice. My dad kindly and patiently showed me how to lay carpet. I sat right by his side as he explained it's important to pull the molding off, fold the carpet under, use a carpet stretcher...I was 4 years old. We talked regularly and I want the family to know he loves you all. He really does and I'm very grateful he has a wonderful family in you all. He was so open minded and intelligent. Did you know he was keen in Astronomy? Yep! He has his Real Estate license too. Elivis had nothing compared to my Dad. Handsome and regal until the very end. I love him as he is and I know he loved me that way too.
