James "Clarence" "Jimbo" Sanchez, 73 of Colorado Springs, was peacefully reunited with his Lord and Savior on August 26, 2025. James was born February 18, 1952 in Wyoming to Magarito "Maggie" Sanchez and Rosenda (Vialpando). They would soon move to Chama, CO where they would call home, to also include his sisters Rebecca, Joanne, Lucille, Marie, and brother Anthony (Ernesto).

Upon graduating high school, James moved from the San Luis Valley to Colorado Springs where he would call home. He worked many years for Denver Equipment. And in 1984 he started his own business. The business started as Jim of All Trades, but then evolved a few years later to J&J (Jesus and Jim) Grounds Maintenance. Being a man of faith, having Jesus in the company name was important. In September 2024 James retired, but the business continues to operate in the family.

Growing up, James was greatly influenced by his grandfather and step father Ben Pando. He learned the importance of integrity, kindness, love, and hard work. All qualities that he lived by every day. All of these were reflected through not only his words, but his actions as well. These were also qualities that he would pass on to his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many others who knew him. To know James was something special. He was truly one of a kind. He was a selfless, kind, loving, and hardworking man who always put his family first. He didn't just talk about love, he showed it. He loved deeply and fiercely. He made his family and people feel welcome, safe, and cared for. He had a quiet strength about him that said, "You're not alone."

James was a faithful man. Jesus was always number one in his life. He would always say that everything will always work out if you have Jesus in your heart. To put Jesus first, and he will do the rest. His faith was reflected by the way was there for his family, how he gave to those in need, and was always there to give a hand.

James is survived by: his sister Marie Espinoza, and brother Anthony (Ernesto) Sanchez; daughters Rose Tamosaitis, Tracy Hofmann, Jayme Hammond, Genie Fox, and son David Solomon. He is also survived by several grand-children and great-grandchildren.

He is proceeded in death by: Father Magarito Sanchez, mother Rosenda Vialpando, and step father Ben Pando. Sisters Rebecca, Lucille, and Joanne. Most importantly, his loving wife of 39 years Jonellene Sanchez (Stoltenberg).

Services for James will be held at Awakening Church 3445 Oro Blanco Dr. in Colorado Springs, on Saturday September 27, 2025 at 11am. For those who cannot attend, the service will be live streamed by Awakening Church at the following link live.yourawakening.org
