James Edward Scheppan

James (Jim) Edward Scheppan, 93, Round Hill, VA, died peacefully at home on April 2,
2025. Born January 21, 1932, in Cleveland, OH.
Preceded in death by his parents Otto Henry and Marie Iola (Langford) Scheppan and
his loving wife of 65 years, Grace Marie (Robinson) Scheppan. Survived by his sisters
Jeanette Scheppan, Arlington Heights, IL; Elizabeth Gengler, Arlington Heights, IL;
Elaine Langford, Columbus, OH; children David married to Kathleen (deceased),
Middletown, VA; Eric married to Cheryle, Statesville, NC; Carolyn married to Jim
Mellone, Round Hill, VA; 5 grandchildren; Alan, Brian, Erika, Brandon, Nancilee; 14
great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Jim was a 1950 graduate of Griffith Institute, Springville, NY. Jim went on to earn a
bachelor's degree from the University of Florida, a master's degree from Florida Institute
of Technology and an Executive MBA from Loyola. Jim spent most of his career
working for TRW in the Space Program.
Jim loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and gardening were among his favorite things
to do.
Visitation will be on Saturday, April 19 th from 12pm-1pm, immediately followed by a short
service. Interment Saturday, April 19 th 2pm. Services and burial at Fairfax Memorial
Park, Fairfax, VA. There will be a celebration of life following the services.
