James Taylor Scott

SCOTT, James Taylor, 87, a resident of Prattville, AL, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2026. Mr. Scott was preceded in death by Shirley Scott; parents, Sidney and Ethel Scott; daughter, Kristy Scott Price and sister, Jean Bartlett. He is survived by his daughter, Geeja Churchwell (Jamie); three grandchildren, Justin Clark (Jamie), Taylor Clark and Landyn Yudez (Patrick); four great-grandchildren, Fisher, Tanner, Sutton and Dawson; two brothers, Clyde Scott (Clytee) and Walter Scott (Kay); extended family and friends. Mr. Scott proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years, where he retired as SMSGT. After his military career, he worked at Union Camp for many years. After retiring from the paper mill, he and his wife, Shirley worked for the Corp of Engineers at Gunter Hill and Prairie Creek Campgrounds where they enjoyed camping and fellowship with all the other campers.
