James F. Scully, 81, died Saturday, June 21, 2008 at Sterling House in Stuart. Born April 13, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY, he moved to Stuart in 2000 from Garden City, NY. He was the retired owner of William J. Scully, Inc., a commercial construction company in New York. He was of the Roman Catholic Faith and a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Stuart. He was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II and received the Army Occupation Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary Scully of Stuart; sons, James Scully of Baldwin, NY; Timothy Scully of Vermont; Joseph P. Scully of Chicago, IL; daughters, Mary Jane Bauer of Newburgh, NY; Susan D. Scully of New York, NY; sister, Dorothy Mullen of Long Island, NY; and nine grandchildren. Services: Services will be in New York at a later date. Burial will be at Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of Forest Hills Funeral Homes Young and Prill Chapel in Stuart. A guest registry may be signed at www.youngandprill.com
