James Willis "Jimmy" Sellers

James "Jimmy" Willis Sellers, age 76 of Cynthiana, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington. He was born on July 27, 1949, in Lexington, KY to the late Robert and Hazel Cochran Sellers. Besides his parents he is preceded in death by a grandson, Blaine Adams; a son-in-law, Scott Martin; two brothers and three sisters.

Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Linda Sellers; one son, Christopher James Sellers; two daughters, Stacey (Luke) Sellers Adams, Michelle (Edwin) Sellers Taylor; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Gaebriell) Martin, Taylor Martin, Tarah Martin, Mallory Taylor, Aubree Taylor, Brandon (Kacey) Adams, Boston (Kayla) Adams; and nine great-grandchildren, Rylee, Miller, Vince, Camden, Graylin, Coralee, Brynlynn, Carver, and Scott.

Jimmy loved his family, he enjoyed spending time riding 4-wheelers with the kids and grandkids, hiking and going on cave adventures. He also liked to ride motorcycles, go fishing, camping and going to the beach. Jimmy also loved his cats at home. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Ware Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, also at Ware Funeral Home. Bro. Jon Welch will officiate the service and burial will be in Battle Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers for the Sellers family will be Shawn Combs, Nick Dickson, Tyler Martin, Brandon Adams, Boston Adams and Mark Taylor.
