James Shelburne Obituary
James O. "Jim" Shelburne, 87, of N. Chesterfield, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Opie Shelburne; sisters, Eunice Hovermale, Mary Endresano, and Ruby Williams; and brother, A.P. Shelburne. James is survived by his wife, Jeanne Shelburne; daughters, Sandra Gellings (Brian) and Stacey Ferrer (Mark); grandchildren, A.J. Roy, Ashley Ferrer, Alina Roy (Kyle), Aarun Roy (Desi), Jon Gellings (Brittany), and Lindy Gellings; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests, 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 19, at Morrissett Funeral & Cremation Service, 6500 Iron Bridge Rd., N. Chesterfield, VA 23234. James' funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 20, at Chester UMC, 12132 Percival St., Chester, VA 23831. Interment to follow at Dale Memorial Park.
