He lived in Windsor for 41 years before moving to Windsor Locks, then South Windsor, and finally settling in Broad Brook.
Jim had a long career in service and safety, having retired from police departments in both Windsor and Simsbury, and worked in security. He also was honorably discharged from the US Air Force (Air National Guard), having served 20 years.
He was married to the love of his life, Sandra (Hosfelt) for 51 years before her passing in 2017. Jim will be missed wholeheartedly by his daughters, Tracey (Gary Theriault) and Karron (Donald Redfield Jr), and a beloved granddaughter and her family.
Memorial hours for Jim will be held on Friday, April 10, from 3-5pm at Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave Windsor, followed by a reception to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project.
