He is preceded in death by his grandfather Sonny Haley. Grandfather Steve Sims of Columbia, LA. Grandfather Ralph Stacy.
Steven is survived by his parents Darren and Tammy Sims of Columbia, LA. Three daughters Alyanna Goar, Addison Sims, Avery Sims of Pride, LA.; Sister, Megan Jones of West Monroe, LA.; Brother Chris Elliott (Dusti) of Morrilton, AR.; Sister Casey Elliott of Columbia, LA.; Brother Justin Buckley (Alissa) of Marion, LA.; Nieces and nephews: Chris Elliott, Katie Teague, Madison Teague, Landry Bennett, Kendal Bennett, Lucy Giddens, Beckett Giddens, Jace Buckley, Stella Buckley, Georgia Buckley, Emma Napier, Ella Napier, Edyn Napier.; Grandmother Brenda Haley of Kilbourne, LA.; Grandmother Nadine Maloney of Mena, AR.; Grandmother Faye Sims of Columbia, LA.; Aunt Dana Sims (Mike) of Kilbourne, LA.; Uncle Tommy Stacy (Sandy) of Hot Springs, AR.; Aunt Vickie Pullin and Uncle Tommy Pullin of Lake Providence, LA.
Steven was a devoted father to his three daughters – Alyanna, Addison, and Avery – who were the light of his life. He loved nothing more than spending time with his girls, cheering them on in cheer, dancing, and softball, and being present for every moment he could. In his quiet time, Steven enjoyed playing video games and relaxing at home, always happiest when surrounded by those he loved.
He was an equipment operator by trade, specializing in track hoes and excavators – a passion he shared with his father. From the time he was a kid riding in the bucket on weekend outings, Steven dreamed of running heavy equipment. By the age of ten he was digging and filling his own holes, already following in his dad's footsteps. That childhood excitement grew into a skilled career he took pride in. He will always be his Momma's Baby Boy.
Steven's legacy lives on in his daughters, in the memories he made with family and friends, and in the love he gave wholeheartedly.
