James Wallace Slawinski, 78, of Needville, Texas, passed away on February 8, 2025, at Oak Bend Hospital. Born on September 14, 1946, in Rosenberg, Texas, James lived a life dedicated to family, hard work, and the simple joys of life.
James was married to Brenda Slawinski for 50 years, until her passing in November 2016. Their partnership was built on love and devotion, and James cherished every moment they shared. His family was everything to him, and he found joy in spending time with his children and grandchildren.
For 35 years, James worked assembling electrical controls and instrumentation for the oil and gas industry. After retiring in 2009, James spent much of his time at the deer lease and working on projects in his barn.
James is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Joyce Slawinski; his parents, Wallace and Lillie Mae Slawinski; and his sister, Betty Bell.
He is survived by his three children, Tammy Hedt and partner, JD Zela, Stacy Slawinski and wife, Tamara, and Chad Slawinski and wife, Angela; brother, Johnny Slawinski and wife, Bonnie; grandchildren, Tyler Hedt and wife, Ashlee, Jared Hedt, Olivia, Lilly and Luke Slawinski, and Seth and Allyson Slawinski; and his great-granddaughter, Audrey Hedt; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
James will be laid to rest at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas, where he will be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, dedication, and unwavering love for his family. He will be missed deeply.
