On January 22, 2025 James Julius Smith (Sonny) was called home to be with the lord. He was preceded in death by his wife Sara J Smith and he is survived by his children Angelo Smith, Christina Browning (Smith), Neal Browning Son in law, Crystal Smith, Adrian Smith and Maisha Smith Daughter in law . His grandchildren Domineke Smith, Kytuen Smith, Darren Banks, Keij'na Smith, Darik Artis, DeAngelo Smith, and Faith Armstead. Great Grands Jayden, Austin, Amayah, Sariyah, KaRia,Kashmir, Montana, Kartier, Montaye, Zoey, and Josh.
James loved to talk sports any chance he could get and was a loyal O.S.U and Cleveland Browns fan through and through. He touched the lives of so many people and he will be missed dearly, His favorite scripture Psalm 23 is one he spoke often. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leadeth me beside still waters; he restores my soul.
