James Ronald "Ronnie" Smith, 72, of Benton, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 9, 1952 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late James and Voida (Carrell) Smith.
Ronnie began his lifelong career at Parts Warehouse at the age of 18, until he retired after 43 years. Outside of work, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching the airplanes. He was an avid Razorback fan.
He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Crawley and husband Jason; granddaughter, Taylor Page and husband Hunter; companion Betsy Woolford; brother Doug Smith and wife Rachel; sister, Carla McMahon and husband Alvin; brother, John Mark Smith; and many family members and friends who love Ronnie and will miss him always.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, James and Voida Smith; and his faithful fur baby, Gracie.
Services will be held at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, 322 N. Market Street, Benton, Arkansas on Tuesday, July 22, with visitation held 9:30-10:30 AM, followed by funeral service, officiated by Rev. Brian Moore, at 10:30 AM.
Ronnie may have left this earth, but he will never leave our hearts.
