Cremation Society of New Hampshire - ManchesterJames W. Smith, 66, of Danville, NH, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, peacefully at Exeter Hospital. He fought a battle with dementia and Alzheimer's for some time.
James was born to the late William and Priscilla Smith on March 21, 1960, in Exeter, NH, and was the apple of their eyes.
He attended Timberlane Highschool and graduated 1978. James married Lisa Brown in 1983 and spent 42 years living in Danville. Jim worked for State of NH - DOT and then moved to the town of Kingston - DOT where he retired a little early.
Jim loved his football games and the friends and the food that came with them. He will greatly be missed by his family. He leaves behind his wife of 42 years Lisa; son Jeffrey Smith and his wife Heather; granddaughter Kaylee; son Michael Smith and his wife Stacey; and grandchildren Blake and Bailey.
Assisting the family with arrangements is the Cremation Society of NH, Manchester. Services: A graveside service will be planned once the cemetery opens at the Center Cemetery in Danville. A Celebration of Life is planned at the Danville Community Center on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1-5 PM.
