James R. “Champ” Spiker, 87, of Elizabethtown, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born in Midland, MD, he was the son of the late Everett I. and Mary (Rennie) Spiker. He was the loving husband of 36 years to the late Doris J. Spiker, who passed in 2022.
Surviving are three children, Mary Ann Spiker (Luis) of Elizabethtown, Matthew Spiker (Krista) of Pittsburgh, and “Mac” Spiker of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren, Christopher, Stephanie, Luis, Sophia, Danyka, Deitrich, Dariyelle, and Dakaray; a great grandson, JJ; and two siblings, Delores Kline and Betty Hoath. He is preceded in death by his son, Michael Spiker; daughter-in-law, Brenda; a granddaughter, Courtney Spiker; and siblings, Daniel Spiker, Everett A. Spiker, Mary Rump, and Helen Wolfe; in addition to his wife and parents.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 11AM at Miller-Finkenbinder Funeral Home & Crematory, 130 N. Market St., Elizabethtown, PA 17022. Family and friends are invited to view Friday from 10AM until the time of service, and on Thursday, March 19, from 6-8PM. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
