Clearwater, Florida - James Lamar Spikes 90, born July 22, 1935 went to Heaven Sept. 9, 2025. He is survived by his wife Beverly, daughter Patti Apple, sisters Gloria Mitchell and Barbara Sibo, step-daughter Jennifer Hoar and step-son Rodger Bliss (wife Candy). James had 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by his son, James L Spikes Jr (Sonny), brothers Jefferson Franklin Spikes (Frank) and Remer Lane Spikes (Bucky).
James was born in Quitman, Ga and was raised in Columbus, Ga where he graduated Baker High School in 1954. He spent much of his adult life in New Port Richey and St. Petersburg Fl. where he worked in insurance and sales. James was a fun loving and happy person who loved life and family. He enjoyed bicycling, walking and his hobbies, which included traveling, watching movies, old cars and listening to music, especially his favorite, Elvis. James loved people and everyone he met loved him. He never met a stranger. He will be dearly missed. Service to be held Wed. Sept. 17th 11am at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Rd. Clearwater.
