Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and CrematoryJim Sprott, age 78, of Ravenna, Ohio, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
Jim was born November 24th, 1946, in Ravenna, to J. Harold and Mabel (Vair) Sprott.
He is survived by his wife Sandy (Watson) Sprott; sister Joyce (Sprott) Suter; brothers and sisters-in-law, Connie & Bill Byrd, Marc & Sherre Watson, Greg & Jen Watson, Barb & Charlie Angle, and many loving nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind many “work family” friends from his varied careers including, Firefighter, Army National Guard, Flight Attendant, Bow Shop Proprietor, Fire Specialist for Watson Engineering, Ford Dealership employee, and Corrections Officer. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son Brandon.
The family extends their gratitude to Ravenna Township Fire Department and UH Ravenna ER for their quick response, caring treatment, and nonstop efforts on our behalf.
Per Jim’s request, cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm, at the Kent American Legion, Mogadore Rd, Kent.
Please come and share a memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to APL of Portage County or any charity of choice.
