James Montgomery Sprowls went to be with our Lord on January 2, 2025. Born on February 14, 1943 in Seymour, Texas, Jimmy was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and cousin.
Jimmy graduated from Garland High School. He loved life and made friends everywhere he went. He loved music, dancing and spending time with family and friends.
Jimmy is survived by his brothers Glen Sprowls and spouse Carmen, Ronald Sprowls and spouse Pat, his son Phillipe Sprowls and spouse Louise, son-in-law Ted Garber, four grandchildren Jacob Garber, Jordyn Garber, Josh Garber and spouse Brytan, Zaira Sprowls and three great-grandchildren Nalani, Hayes and Kashtyn, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Allen and Maggie Sprowls, loving daughter Michelle Garber, sisters Wanda Hix and Peggy Faulkner and nieces Vicki Bowen, Johna Faye Lovelady and Angie Kennedy.
Jimmy loved life, family and friends. He had a unique ability to make people feel special. He could always make everyone laugh and enjoyed spending time with family at reunions, holidays or just enjoying a meal.
Jimmy will be deeply missed but will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace, surrounded by the love of his family and friends.
A visitation is scheduled for 1:00 PM at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home at 2925 5th Street, Sachse, Texas. Funeral services to follow at 2:00 PM.
Pallbearers will be Steve Sprowls, Rick King, Tyler Sprowls, Brent Sprowls, Dan Simmering, Caliwa White, Robert Coles and Andrew Bordelon.
