James Stanislaw Obituary
Age 88, of Monroeville formerly, of Port Vue and McKeesport, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Lucille Stanislaw and the late Kathleen Stanislaw; Loving father of James R. (Cheryl) Stanislaw, Michael P. (Donna) Stanislaw, Deborah J. (David Caiarelli) Obusek, and Jason Z. (Christie) Stanislaw; Pappy of Jaimie, Joshua, Michael, Joseph, Jordan, Autumn, Katie, Henry, Felicity, Joshua, Lucille, Rebecca, Maria & Peter; Great Grandfather of Charlotte and Isaac; brother of George, John, Charles, Mary Ann, Vera Mae, Edward & Peter; Preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Stanislaw.
James was an Air Force veteran who achieved the rank of Cpl and served as a translator. He was a Tech Writer for Bettis Atomic Power Plant. His love of exercise, running, art, and nature have all been passed down to his children and grandchildren. He was passionate about yoga and Tai Chi and he was a talented square dancer and was a member of the Coal County Cloggers dance troupe. James ran in the very first Pittsburgh Marathon and the very first Great Race.
Family and friends will be received Monday, June 9, 2025 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. (MONROEVILLE/PLUM CHAPEL) 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747), where a blessing service will be Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery. Jim..... what a beautiful soul. I had the honor of meeting Jim at the senior care center. We practiced yoga together on the second floor. He was nearly always the first to arrive. His history of yoga went back to his younger years, and I was so touched to know his story. He continued coming to our Monday class every week.
He filled a big space, and his spirit still does. Wishing peace to his family, how
blessed you all were to be together.

Although I only met Jim a year ago, it was a pleasure and an honor to know Jim. He came to almost every yoga class always wearing a smile. I was so impressed and inspired by his dedication to his practice, and shared that he started back in the service. My heartfelt condolences for your loss.
