James Stoltzman Obituary

James "Jim" Frederick Stoltzman, age 75, of Forest Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. Born October 26, 1950, to Albert and Grace (Garen) Stoltzman, Jim lived his life with quiet strength, dedication, and deep love for his family.

An Eagle Scout and proud graduate of Chisago Lakes High School, Class of 1968, Jim went on to serve honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. His time overseas shaped his life in lasting ways and led him to meet the love of his life, Cuc Son. They were married on April 22, 1972, at Faith Lutheran Church in Forest Lake, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned more than five decades. Together, they returned often to Vietnam, maintaining cherished ties with family and lifelong friends.

Jim worked as a Union Commercial Carpenter until his retirement in 2005, taking pride in his craftsmanship, work ethic, and the friendships he built along the way. Above all, Jim was a devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather. His family was his greatest joy. He spent many hours with his grandkids teaching them to fish, how to use tools, and enjoy the great outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Douglas Stoltzman.

Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Cuc Stoltzman; daughters, Rebecca Jurkovich and Amanda Stoltzman; grandchildren, Mack, Remington, Cap, and Victory; nephew, Steve (Lindsey) Stoltzman; sister-in-law, Lang Son; and many dear friends, including his treasured companions from Reub's Coffee Clutch.

Jim will be remembered for his steady presence, humble heart, and unwavering devotion to his family.

A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
