James "Jim" Stretch - age 69 of Polo, MO and formerly of Macon, MO passed away Sunday, June 15, 2025, at his home in Polo. Jim was born on February 29, 1956, the son of Charles and Mary (Murry) Stretch in Gallatin, MO. He was united in marriage to Vicky Stretch. Jim was a farmer and construction laborer. He was ornery and liked to joke around. Jim was very giving of his time and enjoyed helping others; he would give the shirt off of his back to help somebody. Jim was a big part of the Macon Housing Authority and volunteered his time to help with maintenance. He loved his dog, Bandit. Jim will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vicky Stretch; siblings, Donnie Stretch, Thelma Stretch, Sandra Tustison, Mary Graves, Tom Stretch, Charles Stretch, and Carolyn Tustison. He is survived by his siblings, Charlotte Rader of Hopkins, MO, John Stretch (Laurie) of Breckenridge, MO, Ralph Stretch of Bethany, MO, Jane Reed of Polo, MO, and Linda VanFossen (Alvin) of Indpendence, MO; several nieces, nephews and other extended family members also survive.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Mt. Salem Cemetery in care of the funeral home. Per Jim's wishes no services will be held. Burial at Mt. Salem Cemetery, near Excello, MO. Arrangements entrusted to the care and direction of Stith Funeral Home in Polo (660) 354-2214. Online guestbook at www.stithfamilyfunerals.com
