James Edward Strowbridge Sr.

The book of life for James Edward Strowbridge, Sr. was opened on June 23, 1950 to the late Mary Moore and Hessie Strowbridge in Wrens, GA. He attended the local schools of Jefferson County before moving to Fort Pierce, FL. To support himself and his family, he worked for Beville Citrus as a truck driver before going into business for himself. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family especially with his grandchildren. James had a strong devotion to the Lord. He performed his work in church as a Deacon. One of the phrases that he will be remembered by is, "A man's word is his bond."
The book of life closed for James Strowbridge, Sr. on January 12, 2024. His work on earth is done and now it is time to rest. He was preceded in death by former wife: Sandra Hamilton; children: Michelle Strowbridge and James A. Strowbridge, Sr.; parents: Mary Moore and Hessie Strowbridge; grandmother: Viola Moore; granddaughter: Azarria Harris; son-in-law: Dwight J. Kerry.
Left to cherish his precious memories are his loving wife: Rosa Strowbridge; children: James (Erika), Tiffany (Dwight), Travis, Viola, Nathan, Damien, Kawanna Moody, Christina, Brittany, Tanya, Charles, Lacrise Moody, Artis Howard, Artisia Howard, Brittany (Accker); grandchildren: James III, Alexia, Jacoby, Anthony, Xzavier, Aaliyah, Melody, Tucker, Bentley, Dominic, Shanquise, Sypress, Axarah, Jelin, Travis Jr., Arryona, Art'tavion; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends who will miss him dearly.
