Bessie L. Evans was born July 5, 1932 in Millen, Georgia to the late Cal and Lillie Roberson. She's the Matriarch of the Evans/Roberson Families.

In 1956, Bessie was united in Holy Matrimony to Charlie Evans, Jr. He preceded her in death in 1976. Charlie and Bessie proud, over the hill, ecstatic parents of five children: Charlie Evans, Shirley Evans, Kelvin Evans, Robert Evans, and Sirena Evans. Bessie spent her life caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a great cook, loving wife, and mother.

On July 24, 2025, she was called home by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, CPL Charlie E. Evans, Jr.; parents, Cal Hosea Roberson and Lillie Mae Roberson; other family members, Hattie Mae Roberson, Cora Lee, Roosevelt, Albert, Willie, Daisy Lee, Jasie Hunter, John Henry, Hosea.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Charlie E. Evans, III, Shirley A. Evans, Kelvin Evans, Robert F. Evans (Evett), Sirena Evans Goines, Shilvon Wade; grandchildren: Andrew L. Garrison, Travis S. Evans, Brandon Evans, Willie C. Deberry, II; and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
