Passed away July 3, 2023. Beloved husband of Pamela (Wasielewski) Sumbrum; Dear father of James "Buck" (Amy) and Justin "Biz" (Courtney) Sumbrum; Loving grandfather of Lilly, Maddie, Adeline and Brodie; Son of the late Joseph and Mary Ellen (Kearns) Sumbrum; Brother of Nancy (Dennis) Long, Barbara (Mike) Scanlon, Bart (Mary), Mark, Joey (Debbie), Robert (Kathie), Kathleen (Mark) Tripp, Nora (William) Lemmon and the late Mary Jo Moriarity; Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday from 2-7PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, 3155 Orchard Park Rd. where a Funeral Service will follow at 7:00PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to WNY Kidney Connection at www.WNYKindneyConnection.org. Mr. Sumbrum was very active throughout the Old First Ward but especially instrumental in creating and organizing numerous youth athletic programs.
