James passed away on November 13, 2025, at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 16, 1948, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Deward and Ruby Taylor.
A proud U.S. Marine, James honorably served during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a devoted family man and a faithful churchgoer who rarely missed a service. Known for his big heart and easy friendliness, he truly never met a stranger. James found joy in simple pleasures—fishing, shooting, and watching his favorite westerns.
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Taylor; sons Kevin Taylor and wife Chuckie, and Brian Taylor.
