50, resident of Racine, WI, formerly of Chicago's South Side, Canaryville neighborhood, passed away unexpectedly on May 16,2022.
Loving father of James J. Toolis III and Daniel L. Toolis; cherished brother of Erin (Patrick) Evers, John Toolis (Brittany), Jennifer Toolis, and Jeanine Valdez; also survived by his beloved 2nd Parents, and Godmother Cheryl Malnarick and Chuck Malnarick; treasured uncle and godfather of Lauryn Vonthaden, Dane Vonthaden, and Patrick Evers Jr. fond godfather to Sean Gagen and stepson of Rudy Valdez. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, dearest best friend of Ed McSorley, and mother of his children, Christine Toolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents James J. Toolis and Patricia Valdez (nee McSorley).
Services at McINERNEY CENTRAL CHAPEL, 4635 S. Wallace St., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Sunday, May 22, 2022, from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Funeral is on Monday, May 23, 2022, at 9 a.m. at chapel, to St. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Cremation following, in accordance with his wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Multiple Sclerosis Foundation at https://msfocus.org/, would be appreciated.
For those attending services, PLEASE NOTE WEARING OF MASKS ARE ENCOURAGED.
