James Edward "Jim" Tramel, III, age 77, passed away Sunday August 31, 2025, in Duluth, GA. Jim was the son of the late James Edward "Doc" Tramel, II and Lorraine Sorrells Tramel.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will follow the funeral service at the Church Cemetery.
A successful lawyer, Jim was a man of integrity who dedicated his life to truth and justice, advising and advocating for others. He found strength in his Christian faith, and this faith guided his life and career. Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S.Army, and in his leisure time enjoyed playing pool.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Judy & Ken Conner, and their daughters, Julie and Jenny. Survivors include his children, Emily Tramel, James Tramel, Erik Tramel, Hunter Tramel; and granddaughter,Jadyn Fain.
