In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Margaret Lucille Flora, Marcella Mae Flora, Maurice Eugene Traugott, Russell Thomas Traugott, daughter in law, Diana Preston Traugott, and grandson in law, Chris Martin.
James will be lovingly remembered by his children, Bonita Jane (Ted) Hill, Versailles, Belinda Jean (Tony) Johnson, Winchester, James Marvin Traugott, Jr., Midway, siblings, Charles Leslie (Rena) Traugott, Eula Faye Traugott (Gene Owens), grandchildren, Randi Jane Hunton, Angela Renee Hunton (Cara Wise), Heather Nicole Johnson, James M. Traugott, III., Justin Thomas Traugott, Cassandra Lynne Traugott, great grandchildren, Paisley Grace Johnson, and Zaiden Edward Brown.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, September 23, 2024, also at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home, with Brother Gary Maynard Officiating. Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery where pallbearers will be Joe Wilson, Dwayne Brown, James Traugott, III., Justin Traugott, Gene Owens, and Ben Preston. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Midway Church of the Nazarene. Memorial contributions are suggested to Muscular Dystrophy Association, www.MDA.org. Family and friends are encouraged to share memories and leave messages of condolence here on James's tribute wall.
