James Charles Tucker Jr.

James Charles Tucker Jr., age 70, of Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove, Oklahoma. Born in Bentonville, Arkansas, James was the beloved son of J.C. Tucker Sr. and Elsie Jean (Barnwell) Philliber. On March 31, 1994, he married the love of his life, Lindsey Deanne Kennicutt, in Bella Vista, Arkansas. James dedicated many years of his life to public service as a training officer with the Decatur Fire Department. A hardworking man through and through, he was also a full-time farmer. He never took a vacation. His hands were always busy, whether fishing, woodworking, or farming the land he loved. He was a proud member of Tired Iron and had a special passion for antique tractors, especially orange ones. Above all, James cherished his family and friends. James will be missed and remembered by all who had the honor of knowing him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie Jean Philliber; his father, J.C. Tucker Sr.; his daughter, Juanita Jean (J.J.) Williams; his grandson, Kohen Crittenden; his great-grandson, Greyson Williams; his sister, Neva Rickman. He is survived by his wife, Deanne Tucker of Jay, Oklahoma; two daughters, Martha Langley (Nathan) of Westville, Oklahoma, and Jenny Mae Tucker of Colcord, Oklahoma; his bonus daughter, Toni Cooke of Gillespie, Illinois; his son, Kenneth Ray Good (Dorri) of Cherokee City, Arkansas; two granddaughters, Ashley Wise (Chris) of Gravette, Arkansas, and Kyra Davis (Andrew) of Phoenix, Arizona; five grandsons, Anthony Langley of Colcord, Oklahoma, Cooper Lowrey of Noel, Missouri, Billy Williams of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Levi Good of Montana, and Seth Williams of Colcord, Oklahoma; two great granddaughters, Serana Rose Dorsey of Phoenix, Arizona, and Addilynn Williams of Colcord, Oklahoma; his brother, Donnie Tucker of Decatur, Arkansas; two Aunts, Sherry Abbott (Steve) of Texas, and Joyce James (Randall) of Searcy, Arkansas; his uncle, Charles Barnwell (Carla) of Beebe, Arkansas; numerous nieces and nephews; his son-in-law, Shane Williams of Colcord, Oklahoma. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be scheduled by his family at a later date.
