James LeRoy "Jimmy" Underhill

James "Jimmy" LeRoy Underhill, 80, of Quincy passed away Monday, February 27, 2023. He was born August 8, 1942, in Detroit to James C. Underhill and Francis (Logsdon).
Jimmy was loved by so many people. He was the proud owner of Underhills barber Shop for 55 years in San Francisco, California. He was nominated "Best Barber" in the bay area and was known as the singing barber. Jimmy belonged to the San Francisco Theatrical Club and Loring Club as a singer. He was also an artist, typically with paints. He was particularly proud of his home on Huyck Lake.
Jimmy was especially fond of Michael and Christina who were a big help in his care and everyday life.
Surviving are his sisters Trudy (Ted Newsum) Barr of Montgomery and Gladys (Stanley) Sychtysz of Utica, New York; brother, Robert Underhill of Ohio; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his mother Francis Welch, father James Underhill, and sisters Patricia Cortez, Cheryl Phillips, and Sharon Sanborn.
Jimmy will be forever missed and loved.
Funeral services for James Underhill will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home-George White Chapel in Quincy with Pastor Scott Saltzman officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of the service.
