James Donald "Jim" Uphold

ZANESVILLE
James "Jim" Donald Uphold, 75, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House. He was born March 5, 1947, in Zanesville to the late Donald and Mildred McFarland Uphold. He was a graduate of Zanesville High School. Jim retired after 30 years from Owens-Illinois Brockway Division. He was formerly employed at Western and Southern and Starett Hardware in Duncan Falls. He was a former member of the VFW Post #1058, American Legion Post #29 and Fraternal Order of Eagles #302. He enjoyed camping, woodworking and music. He loved spending time with his family, grandkids and dogs, especially his special dog Lucy. He served our country and protected our freedom in the United States Army.
Surviving is his wife Janet Mason Uphold; children: Chad (Vickey) Uphold, Jared Uphold and Amanda (Bob Jones) Uphold; step children: Dionne (Brian Miller) Wolfe, Jennifer (Scott) Wilson and Michael (Courtenay) Wolfe; a sister Susan Jane (Jeff) Longaberger; grandchildren: Jeshua (Bethaney Larimer) Luckett, Ethan Uphold, Madilynne Uphold, Aaron Whitehair, Aaliyah Whitehair, Aeden Jones, Michael (Kendal Wilson) Yanik Noa, Rylie (Conner Wade) Scott, Ryder Wilson and Henry Wolfe; great grandchildren: Minnie, Ivy, Miles, Marcus and Lejend; several nieces and nephews and many friends and family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother Fred Uphold and a granddaughter Abigail Whitehair.
Calling hours will be held from 1 to 4PM Saturday, May 14, 2022, at THE SNOUFFER FUNERAL HOME 1150 WEST MILITARY ROAD ZANESVILLE. Services will begin at 4PM with Pastor Herb Perry officiating and full military honors will precede the service with VFW Post #1058 and American Legion Post #29.
