Everyday I am realizing how much Jim helped me through the 45 years plus working with him. I am truly blessed to have been so fortunate to have such great mentor. Jim was A 1 is so many different ways and will be missed than words can describe.

To Jim's family; heartfelt condolences from Tim and Christy Arkema. You don't know us, but we became friends with Jim through Rick Meyer. His warm presence, giving spirit, and appreciation for good beer made him a hit with our entire Hudsonville neighborhood. He would serve as my grill master when hosting large summer deck parties, answer questions about any home improvement project, and sometimes volunteer his time to help get those projects accomplished. Whenever I went to Bosgraaf Sales, I hoped he was in the office so I could chat with him. We are so very sad that he is gone but grateful that we got to spend part of an evening with him earlier this summer, when he stayed for fish and beer on our deck after taking a look at a neighbor's slider door concern. Gordon and Jim are some of the best people I've had the pleasure to befriend. Peace be with you.

My condolences to Jim's Family and those who knew him. I had the pleasure of delivering meals to him for the last couple of years through Avenues.

My deepest sympathy to the family in Jim's passing! Always great memories of growing up together in the Lawndale/Hillcrest neighborhood with the VanOverloop boys! May God bring peace and love during this difficult time of saying your earthly goodbyes to Jim!
