James (Jim) Vander Loop age 85 of Bellevue, WI passed away on June 2, 2024, at the Jack & Engrid Meng Hospice Residence.
Jim was born on December 18, 1938, to William and Elizabeth (Adamczeski) Vander Loop. On August 25, 1962, he married Sally Feeney. Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He was employed at Reimer's Meat Products Inc. and at Green Bay Packaging, having retired in 2001.
Jim was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time up north with family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Sally, son Brian (Mary) Vander Loop, daughters Michelle (Chuck) Hilke and Dawn (Ed) Frommung, Grandchildren Kyle (Katie) Vander Loop, Neal (Shelby) Vander Loop, Mitchell Hilke, Ryan Hilke, Hayden Frommung and Hunter Frommung, Great Grandchildren Easton Vander Loop and Cora Vander Loop.
Jim is further survived by his brothers Cliff (Carole) Vander Loop, Richard (Carol) Vander Loop, Joe (Joan) Vander Loop, Ray (Sandy) Vander Loop, sister Elaine Gutowski, sisters-in-law Anne Vander Loop, Eileen Vander Loop, Sandy (Roger) Heesacker and Dianne (Ron) Staidl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Pat (Don) Zak, Judy (Ted) Melotte, brothers Bob Vander Loop, John Vander Loop, and brother-in-law Ralph Gutowski.
The family would like to thank Prevea Home Care staff, especially Samantha, Jenny, and Francis as well as the staff at Jack & Engrid Meng Hospice Residence for taking great care of Jim.
Gathering of family and friends will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 10, 2024 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church 3425 Willow Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Dennis Ryan officiating. Entombment at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: The Jack and Engrid Meng Hospice Residence 2366 Oak Ridge Circle, De Pere, WI 54115.
Jim would always say, "Today is a good day, a great day to be alive."
