James Volpe Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Old Bridge Funeral Home - Old Bridge on Mar. 7, 2026.
James Volpe Jr., 56, of Old Bridge, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026 surround by his loving family. Born on July 10, 1969, James was the beloved son of Rosalie (Trizzino) Volpe and the late James Volpe. He was raised in Staten Island, New York, before moving to Old Bridge in 2002, where he remained for the rest of his life.

James proudly served his community as a member of the New York City Police Department. After retirement, he continued working in the security field with Allied Universal Enhanced Protection Services as part of the Explosives and Firearms Detection K9 team. From 2012, he worked as a K9 handler.

James was an active member of his community and enjoyed participating in Old Bridge Baseball, the Sayrewood South Little League. He had a passion for the things that brought people together. James loved the New York Yankees, fishing, bowling, golfing and spending time with family and friends. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his children.

James is survived by his loving wife, Robyn Volpe (Giacobbe), and his beloved children, Jared Volpe and Mia Volpe. He is also survived by his mother, Rosalie Volpe; his siblings, Celia (Volpe) Marazzo and her husband Larry Marazzo, Anthony Volpe, and Christine Volpe; his sisters-in-law Christine and Spero Sarantos and Dawn Giacobbe; and many cherished nieces and nephews: Justin (and wife Nicole), Jessica, Jaclyn, Joseph, Jenna (and fiancé Matt), Jamie, Ryan, Justin, Joseph, and Nicholas, and great-nephew Mason. James also leaves behind his last surviving uncle, Anthony Volpe and many cousins and extended family and friends all who loved him dearly.

James was predeceased by his father, James Volpe, and his nephew, James Volpe.

James will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his years of service protecting others, and the loyalty and friendship he shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
