James W. Walden, son of Nettle Mae Dixon, was born on December 2, 1955 in Clearwater, FL. They relocated to Philadelphia P.A. at a young age. James graduated in 1973; he had various jobs until he started working for the food distribution center as a food selector until retirement.
James met his wife Josephine in 1987. After 18 years, the beautiful couple both accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. James was active in various church ministries, such as the usher board, the men’s auxiliary, and the choir. In 2021, James and Josephine relocated to Tampa, Florida.
James loved all sports, but the Eagles were his team. And if they were winning and I came into the room, He would put me out if I made too much noise!
James leaves us to cherish our fond memories of him. Family members are his loving wife Josephine, his sisters Eula Banks and Deborah Jones-Thomas, a brother Douglas Jones, niece Zaria Thomas, nephew Damier Jones, loving Godson Rafiq Harvey, Uncle Daniel, Aunt Daisy Walden, a host of cousins and friends.
There are many great memories about James that I can’t put all on paper. James was a God fearing, kind, loving man, and all of us will miss him dearly.
We give God all honor, glory, and praise.
