James A. Wallisch Sr. Age 79
James A. Wallisch Sr. passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernadine and John Wallisch, and his brother, Jack Wallisch.
James is lovingly remembered by his children, Melissa (Rich) Westerhaus, James Jr. (Katie) Wallisch, Stephanie (Shannon) Wallisch-Currier, Matthew (Jacob Heras) Wallisch, and Brian Wallisch; his grandchildren, Brady and Brenna Westerhaus, Victoria, Taylor, and Blake Wallisch, Rylee (Caleb) Steele, Dion and Sydney Wallisch, and Cassie Wallisch; his great-grandchildren, Owen and Maverick; and his beloved "great-grand-dogs," Roxanne, Kloe, Otto, Mikko, JC, and Scarlet; siblings Judy Mangan, Jerry (Barb) Wallisch, Barb (Paul) Maliszewski, Gi-Gi (Randy) Brenhofer; and sister in-law Barbara Wallisch.
A proud Navy veteran, James found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially bowling with lifelong friends and fishing trips with his family. His warmth, humor, and steadfast dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed.
A burial service will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Friday, April 4, at 10:45 AM, followed by a celebration of his life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial contributions to the or the in honor of James' service and dedication to others.
