James Jacob Weinberg

James Jacob Weinberg, age 47, of McHenry, died Thursday, March 15, 2012 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago.
He was born May 27, 1964 in Melrose Park to Howard and Sharon (Walker) Weinberg. On April 20, 2001 he married Jennifer A. Huberty in Crystal Lake.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving with the 25th ID as a Medic and was better known as 'Doc'. He was a true patriot.
Formerly of Mundelein, Jimmy had resided in McHenry for the past six years. He was employed as an electrician the majority of his life and volunteered at his electrical expertise at The Chapel. He loved to cook, work with his hands and enjoyed the freedom he felt when riding his Harley by representing all veterans and his country.  Jimmy was fondly known as 'MacGyver' by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of ten years, Jennifer; three children, Grace Weinberg, Wayne Schwander, Alexandra Schwander; his father, Howard Weinberg of Huntley; a brother, Ryan (Christi) Weinberg of Huntley; in-laws, Wayne and Ethel Huberty of McHenry; two sisters-in-law, Tina (Donald) Murray of Lake Zurich, Kimberly (Dan) Moritz of Lake Zurich; one nephew and seven nieces.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Weinberg.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050.
The Memorial service will be at 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, at the funeral home.
