James Lynn Whipp, age 74, of Jefferson City, TN went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2024. He was an avid professional truck driver for 40+ years. He was a history buff and loved spending time with his family, animals, and church family. James is preceded in death by the love of his life, wife, Donna C. Whipp. He is survived by his sons, Steven (Conni) Mitchem and Richard (Tina) Mitchem; grandchildren, Amanda Watson, Kelsey Mitchem, Ryan Mitchem, Taia Mitchem, Melissa Mitchem, and Zoe Mitchem; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn Brooks, Kylie Brooks, Lane Sullivan, and Nova Mitchem; older sister, Sherry Zeke; faithful companion, Tucker; and extended church family. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Faith Baptist Church of Jefferson City (118 Colossians Ct. Jefferson City, TN 37760). The family will receive friends, Friday, November 24, 2023 from 10:00a.m. – 1:00p.m. at Farrar Funeral Home Jefferson City Chapel with a procession to follow to Jefferson Memorial Gardens for a 2:00p.m. graveside with Rev. Mark Campbell and Deacon Terry Childers officiating.
