Montrose – James Emmett White, age 93, passed away, Thursday, March 12, 2026, in Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in Salem Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from 1:30 P.M. until time for the service Sunday at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mr. Emmett was born and had lived most of his life in Bleckley County. He was the son of the late James Booth and Juliette Lowe White and was preceded in death by his wife, Martha June Hobbs White and his daughter Karen Elizabeth White. Mr. Emmett was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Middle Georgia College Diamond Club, loved baseball and golf. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church where he served as church treasurer.

Survivors are his daughters, Pam (Jeff) Leddy of Indialantic, FL and Emily White Whaley of Perry; his grandchildren, Megan (Jeremy) Painter, Jarrod (Gaby) Leddy, Morgan (Nathan) Julsonnet and Chelsea (Cole) Roberts; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church Building Fund, 107 Salem Church Road, Cochran, GA 31014
