Weldon Dixon

Weldon Dixon, age 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2026, in the chapel of Mathis Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will take place at Bowers Cemetery.

Born in Dodge County, Weldon was the son of the late John Henry and Maggie Holland Dixon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Avery Klaire Dixon.

Weldon was the owner and operator of Dixon Drywall, where he worked diligently until his retirement. He found joy in tending to his vegetable garden and cherished spending time with his family. His love for visiting with loved ones brought him immense happiness throughout his life.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 67 years, Janice Holland Dixon; his children: Jimbo Dixon (Lynn), Lyn Phillips (Donald), Joey Dixon (Lisa), and Carrie Moon (Bill); his grandchildren: Casey Warren, Michael Dixon, Parker Dixon (Jordan), Cher Hulette (Nick), Wil Moon, and Shepherd Moon; as well as ten great-grandchildren. He is also remembered fondly by several nieces and nephews.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Remarkable Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Weldon and his family during this time.

Weldon's memory will forever be treasured by those who knew and loved him.
