James T. Widmaier

James T Widmaier passed away on April 2, 2025. He is predeceased by his parents William and Lorraine Widmaier. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Laura Widmaier (nee Miller); children Christopher (Tiffany) Widmaier, Elizabeth (Nicholas) Metzger, Erika (Thomas) Dooley; grandchildren Andrew Metzger, Emily Metzger, Audrey Metzger, Miles Dooley, Clara Dooley; sister Patricia Widmaier; grand-dogs Emmet and Foster; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who were like family.
Jim will be remembered for his dedication to his work and for never sitting still. In addition to being an outstanding husband, father, and person, his accomplishments include being an Eagle Scout, graduating from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in Industrial Engineering, serving as the national Vice Chief of the Order of the Arrow, earning the Order of the Arrow Distinguished Service Award, founding and leading the Presentation Source as the vice-president of sales, and supporting the development of the Thousand Island Park Yacht Club as a founding board member. He always had the cable, idea, or joke that you needed. He embodied the Order of the Arrow's ethic of cheerful service and strived to create welcoming communities wherever he went.
He was happiest on the St. Lawrence River with anyone he could fit on the boat, with a grandkid on his lap, and helping everyone in any way possible. In his memory, his family hopes you will do a selfless favor for someone else.
